What is your LEAST favorite food and how did you discover it?

Contributor: butts butts
I've been making my roommate try some of the more exotic foods that I really enjoy, I KNOW I'm going to feed him something that he'll just want to vomit sometime! XD I was just thinking, whats my least favorite food? For me it would probably be horseradish, and clam chowder (that's mostly because I got rather violent food poisoning from it years ago). I discovered horseradish when I thought I was dipping some veggies in mayo or ranch, only to find that it was some sort of creamed horseradish sauce, that's one horrid flavor (for me!).

What foods make your gag reflexes go nuts?

Yes! Horseradish! I saw the title of this post and I was coming here to specifically rant about how terrible horseradish is, ugh hate it. But it turns out I don't have to explain anything to you!
I also don't like coleslaw. I don't mind the kind in mexican food but the coleslaw you get at a deli as a side dish.. yuck. And macaroni salad can be just as bad.. also yuck.

I love horseradish sauce on raw oysters!! I will eat about anything. I cannot eat green bell peppers. They literally give me such bad chest pains that I am on the floor on my knees if I so much get anything with them mixed in. Pace picante sauce has green bell peppers in it.

I can't stand sauerkraut. The smell alone makes me want to vomit!

If any of you are eating 'wasabi' from American Japanese restaurants or buying it in stores - that's horseradish -snicker-

I dislike Spanish/Mexican foods
I dislike the spices they use.

And I'm with the above on sauerkraut. Gross. Cabbage in general is ick for me

There are more things I hate than those I like. My least, least, least, least favorite? Organ meats. Way too rich and gamey for my tastes.

Oh I know, I can taste it. I'm a sushi addict but I don't like wasabi one bit.

Fucking raisins. They are disgusting in every single way. I firmly believe that whoever first decided that raisins should be baked into cookies should be punched in the head.

I can't stand lima beans! Also, chocolate syrup, and only HERSHEY'S chocolate syrup, makes me gag.

Oh, and raisins! Thanks to Bellefleur's post reminding me. XD

Salmon. It smells like cat food to me, and I can't get past the smell.

Canned salmon is the worst.

I generally don't hate much, but there is something that can easily make me sick just thinking about it... raw foie gras (duck liver) with black toasted sesame paste and huckleberry sauce.... Was a birthday dinner at one more Morimoto's restaurants. Sick just thinking about it. :/

I absolutely cannot stand mayonnaise, mushrooms, black licorice, or peaches. All of these things make me gag.

I hate clam chowder too, butts! I hate it because one time I ate it and there was sand in it. I can't imagine anything worse than sandy soup.

Maple bacon...I know, I know...who doesn't like bacon...but the smell of maple bacon just makes me ill. Regular smoked bacon is fine but add that maple in there and no way.

I'm not sure.

Probably stuff with lots of sugar and fillers because they make me feel gross. Like my mouth feels oily and slimy and my head starts hurting. Maybe twinkies, but not really... just anything like it

Meat. I cut into a steak as a teenager and got blood in my eye...

And lettuce with no dressing, goes back to when I was a child and literally chewed a piece of lettuce for three hours as my father wouldn't let me move until I swallowed it and I just couldn't.

To this day "raw" lettuce makes me feel ill, so I have to load it up with lots of dressing.

And Subway, the very smell turns me, I got bad food poisoning from them about three years ago and to this day the ad on TV brings the smell of a store to me and makes me have to run to be sick.
