Aah, well, since Say and Illusional both win, I can donate a $25 GC to make things fair so they both get their prize.

Woah! I've never seen these before. We don't do much jarring in my household, though.

I like this answer better than mine. Though I fear the grippy-rubber would melt. It's still a better answer.

Melissa, I want to ask---how did you first become interested in Traditional Chinese Medicine? I can see it's really influenced your life a lot. What were your biggest resources when you were studying it?
Actually Antipova, I was a HARDCORE corporate pit bull who hung out with other pit bulls. I was an Ad Exec for 7 years and produced over 40 commercials. I worked hard and played even harder. I worked out a lot, but ate like shit even though I thought I was eating so healthy because I was buying all these products that said, "FAT-FREE" and "LOW-CALORIE" (as a side note people, real food doesn't need to scream out claims, it knows it has it going on!)

I got really sick. I was 25lbs heavier, my skin was riddled in acne and I fell into a deep depression. I saw a Nutritionist who rocked my world and changed it for the better. I scratched most gluten off my list and then saw a Chinese Medical Doc who gave me acupuncture, herbs and introduced me to the energetics behind food...that's when I fell in love.

I dropped my career, left my fiancé and became poor overnight to pursue my career as a health practitioner. It was a struggle, but it's been worth it.

Thanks so much for joining us, Melissa! I love learning about Asian culture ideas, especially when it comes to food or ki/chi, and you covered BOTH!

Ugh gluten *shakes fist* my biggest enemy. Ive been weening off it, its been a pain but is my up most priority. I know its really vital in helping my feel better. I used to eat sooo much gluten but ive dramatically decreased the amount and have been keeping at it.

That is quite the story, but I totally understand the thinking behind that. I'm glad you're in a happier place now

What kinds of tips do you have for reorganizing a kitchen without making a huge fuss? For instance, I live with my mother and can't really do much in the way of organizing and rearranging.

Clean out the fridge and cabinets of stuff that have been in there forever that no ones gonna eat! This always makes me feel better.

And if you need some tips on what implements to have, just ask!

I know I couldn't be without a big huge Pyrex mixing bowl for letting bread rise, a shallow small sautee pan and a deep big sautee pan (both stainless steel, not nonstick), a cutting board and a decent, heavy knife, a thick-bottomed pot with a clear lid for cooking rice, and a 12-quart stock pot for soups and things.

And apparently now I'm scheming to own a fancy blender like Melissa's...
