I like cold pasta during the summer months. I just refuse to eat mayo-based pasta salads.

Look up some potato salads that are likewise "oil and vinegar" based, instead of mayo. Light and yummy.

Me too. One of my downfalls. Every time I need to lose weight I HAVE to cut the pasta and bread out. That alone does the trick.

I've started to like it more. I used to not like it at all. I'm still picky about what goes into it, but I love the way my husband makes it! I've always liked potato salad better.

Thanks! I might like those better, never really been a fan of potato salad. Most have eggs in them and that just ew..no.

I have the BEST pasta salad recipe that does not have a mayo base. I don't care for them myself either. It is a Greek Orzo Salad that is really good. Every time we have a pot luck at work or with my family, everyone, including picky men, ask me to make this dish. It is very good and very healthy.

Oh that looks amazing. I love olives with a passion, especially Spanish olives. I can eat the entire jar in one sitting and overdosing on sodium is only a passing thought.

I do now (although I don't eat it often) but as a child the tricolor variety made me want to barf just looking at it. I declined trying it until I was at least a teen.

Depends on what kind I know there is pasta salad that have mayo and then pasta salad that has Italian dressing. I prefer the Italian dressing one and could eat it any time. The mayo one is not a favorite food of mine at all.

For me pasta salad isn't just delicious and fun to make, it's also nostalgic. My aunt makes the best pasta salad EVER, and she brings it to most of our family functions.
