Which do you like better, cookie dough or cookies? I know that my favorite part of making cookies is helping to 'clean the bowl!'
Cookie dough or cookies?

I like both! And for those of you who say "You're gonna get sick," consider this chef's humble opinion: The average chicken egg has nearly a 1 in 1 MILLION chance of having salmonella in it to begin with. The odds of that egg being raw when you eat it are so astronomical, you're actually more likely to get struck my lightning. Just so you all know. In some countries, people consume hundreds of raw eggs a year with no ill effects. So indulge. Enjoy. Raw cookie dough won't kill you, I promise.

Another vote for both! I do love eating the cookie dough, but I can't eat much of it before I start getting sick of it. But then again I can't eat many cookies before I start getting sick of them either. So I just pick in both cases, but I do like both.

Definitely the cookie dough for me. I will actually make some to store in the fridge when I have my occasional sweet tooth moments.

I love cookie dough and brownie batter! Not really big on the finished product unless there isn't anything else sweet in the house. I don't have much of a sweet tooth anymore. I'm more into savory snacks these days and apparently I'm also into rambling for no good reason.

Mmmmm cookie dough, with ice cream (whether it's actual cookie dough ice cream or not)

People do get Salmonella poisoning, ya know... You might drop 15-20 lbs but not way you might want.

I didn't say you can't get salmonella poisoning. I said it's reeeaaally unlikely to get it from raw cookie dough. Not impossible. Most people get it from vegetables contaminated by fertilizer that has gone bad on their vegetables and not washed off properly, or from chicken that wasn't cooked thoroughly. Eggs don't carry nearly the risk people think they do.

And when I say "chef," I mean "ServSafe certified." Just so you don't think I'm blowing things out my hole, I do know what I'm talking about.

what kind of dough?
Chocolate chip? No bake? YES PLEASE!
Peanut butter anything...I'll have an apple please.

Cookies. We have 3 packages of the pre-made, pre-portioned cookie dough right now and I'm somehow not even tempted to eat the raw dough.

I like them both!
01/20/2012
I like cookie dough better, especially if it's chocolate chip!

I've been addicted to chocolate chip cookie dough for 30+ years - since college. I have learned however that rare indulgences are more satisfying than doing it too much. Am I getting old or what! Way too sensible!

Cookies! My partner likes the cookie dough though (ew)

Both-I even cook my cookies a few minutes less so they are still gooey.

I do this too! My boyfriend always gets onto me about eating raw cookie dough, but I've done it -literally- my whole life. It's a nice way to divert a craving. Just a little bit is all I need! Instead of munching on several cookies, a candy bar, etc. =)

<------- Not that I have any experience in these matters, but both are freaking phenomenal!!!!!!

I like cookies fresh out of the oven the best.

Gosh... I miss cookie dough back in the day where everyone hadn't freaked me out about getting ill from it! Still love cookies though. I agree with the fresh out of the oven comment!
01/20/2012
Definitely the cookie dough!

How can you say no to cookie dough?
01/21/2012
Both. If I'm making cookies for myself, I usually undercook them at high temperatures so the outside is crispy and the insides are gooey.
01/21/2012
Cookie dough, yummy!
01/21/2012
I've always preferred cookie dough and cake batter to the cooked alternatives.
