I mostly use my machine, but for buttons or mending I do that by hand.

I do a ton of embroidery. Most of it I just frame, but if I make something that needs to be turned into a pillow, Christmas stocking, etc. then I have my girlfriend, mom, or grandma sew it together on the sewing machine. Small things like Christmas ornaments I just sew together by hand.

I did learn to use the sewing machine at one point, but I haven't touched one in 20 years and don't really remember how to use one.

Want a sewing machine because sometimes sewing by hand can be a pain. But I like to sew.

I can hand sew and I own a Janome sew mini. I've done mostly crafts (fabric coasters, pouches for toys, etc) but I've recently got started sewing clothes. It's very hard to find pretty clothes for plus size petites, you see. I've managed to sew a t-shirt, shorts, skirts, underwear, and a bra so far. I'm planning on making my first blouse this weekend.

I do both. I hand sewed at first then I was given a machine 2 years ago and taught myself to use it by watching youtube videos. I LOVE recycling fabric!! I hit thrift stores weekly looking for clothes to alter or fabric to reuse for other projects, like curtains or cushions.

I do both, depending on what I'm working on. Smaller stuff that needs more precision is all hand-sewn (like little details or doll clothes) and bigger stuff (bags, clothes for me) is with my machine. Yay sewing!

I have a sewing machine but I'm not very good with it. I need to practice but it just frustrates me more than anything.

I can hand sew with no problems.

Yay, a sewing thread! I'm so happy!

I so both by hand and with a machine, and also include knitted elements (collars, lace, accessories). Right now I'm sewing lots of bags. I loooove bags!

I know the basics of sewing but haven't since I was in my teens, except to sew buttons back on that is! When I was 15 I made some of my maternity clothes and baby items. Drapes and tablecloths too. I had an old timey foot pedal Singer. I loved that old machine!

Iv Sewn by hand a couple times to repair some of my cloths, but its just something I do because I have to. Its not actually something I particularly enjoy.

I sew by hand. I had learned to use a machine ages ago, but I don't remember how, and I don't own one. I do remember it being a pain in the butt to use though (maybe it was just a crappy machine i'm not sure) so now it takes me ages to sew one thing, but I don't mind since I've been sewing by hand for a long time now.

I love my 1933 Singer 15-91, but nothing beats a hand-finish.

I fail at sewing period. I have tried paterns free hand sweing machine and by hand always come out a mess.
