I like a Secret Valentine idea and with a small gift we could send Valentines cards (somehow)

To have a v-day card exchange for those who sign up for the party. It could be made digitally, or physically and then a picture taken for upload. They would then be shared at the holiday party.

I think that the card and a small gift (like a Secret Santa) is a great idea!

The small gift (like $10-$15) and v-day card idea sounds awesome.

I think we should up the limit to between 10-20 as the giver feels compelled. Opens up the gift-giving options.

Perhaps for those that actually make them by hand they could PM people and mail it (if it is a secret .. but not secret type thing) do I make sense? LOL

I like the Secret Valentine idea.

I think the same value as the Santa one cause once ya add postage, some people may not have enough (up to $25 - $26 in total) in points to cover it. And some don't have the cash either.

I don't have the cash but I'd gladly hand over the points.

10-20 bucks is good

It would be pretty cool if we can send actual mail. Who wouldn't want to see a happy love card in the mail? Maybe we can ship them into eden and they can put them in with the gift we get? I imagine it would be hard to match up but maybe if they had a code or something we could put on it?

It would take a good week or more for cards from overseas to get into Eden.

Personally, I don't do cards!

Well, that's why I said $10-20 because it would give a chance to someone who wanted to do more, the opportunity to do so, but if they couldn't or didn't want to, they wouldn't have to feel obligated to do the higher price point.

Yeah, that's true. Gives a bigger price gap.

Hahah, ok. I really enjoy cards but I guess that is just a personal thing.

I'm a total procrastinator and I would wait till the last minute to mail in my card, then it would be late and a BITCH for the staff to postpone packages and deliveries, match the cards with the packages, etc...

I could see if EF had a "NOTE" section on a general card that they sent in every package where PERSONAL messages from the sender could be typed out though. (the way many companies handle "gift purchases" online)

I love the idea that I can put things off their wish list into my cart, convert my points, and send it off and I never have to worry about "on time"

I'm just curious cause I know some people love to give and receive cards -
would anyone be insulted if they didn't get a card with their gift????

I know our mail at the very best of times takes a good week depending on where in the US its distination is. It took way over a week for my faulty toy to get back to Eden.

But at the moment our mail is EXTREMELY slow due to all the flooding damage. They are coping flooding down south now.
I ordered some stuff from down south and it was posted last tuesday (18th Jan) but it's still not here yet. Normally it would take 3 - 4 days max.

So I imagine if I was to send a card, it would take up to 2 weeks just to get to Eden.

Personally I wouldn't. I think part of why Lauren's idea was so good is you take a picture of the card, or create a digital card like this (very crude): and then send it to the person via posting it on their wall, etc.
