This year, we’re doing something different. We’ve touched on the Greek-based zodiac two years in a row already so I’ve decided to switch it up! This time, the ‘sign’ mentioned may not be yours since they are done in sets of years, but there are 12 of them! Perfect! Are you excited yet? Get ready, set, LEARN!
Sign – Ox
In the legend that Buddha had animals race against each other for the honor of appearing as a sign in their zodiac cycle, the ox was second in line (as you can probably guess). It was upon this animal that the rat was able to ‘cheat’ its way to the front of the pack. The ox symbolizes dependability, strength, and determination. They are very tolerant and believe one must work hard and have strong morals to achieve success. Oxen don’t believe in shortcuts and anyone who doesn’t pull their weight they see as lazy and not worthy of their respect. Oxen will listen with an open mind and are capable of trusting others but they won’t make decisions without doing their own detailed research. This sign favors life-long alliances to casual acquaintances.
Oxen are compatible with the Rat and Rooster and incompatible with the Tiger and Horse.
If you want to know if this is your sign and what element you are, see the years below. To learn more about your individual elements, search online for more cool facts! I couldn’t fit it all in a single post.

Something AWESOME in February’s History: On February 1st, 1896 – Giacomo Puccini's opera La Bohème, premieres in Turin, Italy. This is a wonderful opera and continues to be performed today and has even inspired the storyline of the play (and later, film) Rent.
