These are the same price and essentially the same product so I can't decide how to choose. The only thing I came up with is that the one by Doc Johnson is not finished at the ends and is 3 feet shorter. Neither of those things are that bothersome to me. How to pick?

I love my Japanese bondage rope. You can easily tie off the ends into knots, which is what I've done, and I haven't had to worry about it unraveling. You actually get a LOT to play with, and it's super soft for tying a rope harness. I have the black rope. It's very sexy.

They both come in a few different colors, and I chose the ones I would be most likely to choose, so the color is sort of irrelevant in choosing between them.

It mostly depends on how you feel about different textures on your skin, I think. Silk has always felt a little odd to me, so I might prefer the japanese rope.

I've heard good things about the Japanese bondage rope.

I think cotton keeps a knot more easily than silk, but silk would feel smoother on the skin (which is not necessarily what's wanted.)

I haven't used either but will add that for bondage, hemp and jute are really good choices. They feel rougher, but not unpleasantly so, and the friction means the ties hold better.
