Wax and candle play...

Contributor: Youssii Youssii
I've never much been into wax and candle play, but a partner of mine is and I'm curious to try it out with him.

I get the feeling he likes wax for the shock of the brief pain. Something he's also mentioned is liking to peel it off. I on the other hand would prefer to start off with something a little colder.

Is there a candle that burns cooler than a normal candle but isn't a massage candle? Or are those the only two options?

Unscented paraffin candles are best used when starting out. Scents usually add a bit more heat. The higher you hold it when applying, the longer it takes to get to skin thus cooling it down a bit. (Say standing over and pouring it onto the back.)

Also combining ice with wax play is fun. :3

Try out a few kinds, preferably white and unscented. NEVER beeswax.

What Vanille said. Keep in mind that the farther the distance from the destination, the harder it is to determine where the wax will land. Try to find a balance between having control and decreasing the heat.
