Always set up a safe word no matter how much it may displease the dom, unless you've been play partners for a really long time and even then it's a good idea. Just be careful to only use it when it's absolutely necessary.

Kink is rarely a safe activity. Even with something like rope bondage people can get seriously hurt. Ropes can pinch or get tied too tight and can cause temporary and if not caught in times permanent nerve damage.

Know and Understand what it is you are about to get into. Familiarize yourself with some of the potential problems that can occur with what ever activity you are wanting to engage in.

Things can go wrong. Kink isn't foolproof. Make yourself aware.
