I noticed in the comments section there's a lot of negativity towards this item - most people seem to be of the opinion that a collar is a submissive exclusive thing and that a "real" Dom or Master would never wear a collar. I was just curious to hear some more thoughts and opinion on this if anyone is interested in sharing their views.

In my opinion I think it would depend on the desire of the Dom/Master, some may like the idea of wearing a collar, while another Dom/Master may find that it may be an insult. Personally I wear a spiked collar and I haven't received any criticism for it.

Depends a lot on personal choice, some people can pull it off as a dominant look. It's not for everyone though

I don't have a problem with someone wearing one. I know my Dom would never wear one though.

On the note of a "real Domm/Master" It's my own opinion to that clothing isn't what makes them are true Dom/Masters, it's how they use the skills they have learned and mastered to make an experience enjoyable for both them and their sub/slave. All the while having the desire to better themselves. But this is just a personal opinion.

Thanks for your input everyone! I would have to agree with Jezika in the sense that it shouldn't really matter what you wear, but I can see how certain people would not ever want to wear one because of what a collar can represent.

Yeah, I agree with you. Not everyone who enjoys collar play or wearing a collar as an accessory is a sub!

I don't really understand why people get that in their heads myself. Collars are not a submissive only item. I wear collars all the time, and I'm usually the dominant. I look at it this way: Who's more dominant, the one not wearing a collar while I control them, or me, wearing a collar regardless of it's notation of submissive being, and dominating them. What I wear proves that, even if I'm wearing the collar, I am in control. :3

Personally as a Master I use a collar on my slave as a sign of property, when she has it on she is mine to do with as I please. Therefore; I don't wear one. I could see how other Doms might like something like this in concert with other fetish wear though.
