I'm wondering about the different tastes. I'm considering two ball gags, but don't know about the taste of vegan leather. I'm ambivalent about the taste of real leather, so I'm wondering how its vegan counterpart tastes and smells.

I doubt there is much of any difference however my suggestion for a ball gag is from aslan leather. The release snaps are amazing

Well, maybe I'm biased, but I'd go with leather. The vegan 'leather' is almost certainly only called 'leather' because its actual name - like most petrochemical derivative compounds - is almost impossible to say! For sure it's not because they think leather's so great they want to piggy back on its popularity.
God only knows what it's likely to leach into your mouth, especially given that the mouth is specifically designed to begin breaking down whatever's shovelled into it!
Just my opinion - feel free to differ!

I'm actually a bit curious what vegan leather chemicals would be in it. I'm sure leather has some chemicals for softening and whatnot, but I wonder what's in vegan leather now. Hmm.
Thanks for your opinion though, Bill. I'd never actually thought about what types of chemicals were in the leather of the gags I used. Maybe now I should go on a witch hunt to find out...

Usually it's faux leather so it should pretty much be chemical free I'd think but who knows really

I'd go with the vegan leather but I'm bias because I'm vegan. Even before, the idea of having leather in my mouth seemed gross. Dead cow's skin? No thanks.
