Sounding plugs, metal or silicone?

Contributor: butts butts
For those of you with an interest in sounding, would you rather get (or do you already have) a metal plug or a silicone one? I'm dying to get my partner a silicone one, but they're so expensive for such a small toy and they're considered too "hard bdsm" (and uncommon) for Eden to carry them

I have a couple of silcone ones from the Oxballs brand. I bought them because I thought the nice flexible silicone would be more gentle than metal, but for some reason the surface of the silicone was matte, and this very fine texture was enough to really irritate my urethra, so I wouldn't recommend them. Go with a highly polished metal piece instead.

If I ever did sounding I would want silicone... Something smooth, for sure.

I don't know if I would want to try this, though. Seems scary.
