Other - I am very much a try (or at least see) before you buy, kind of gal. For me it really depends on how much I am potentially spending. If it is a decent collar and costs over $100, I generally will go out of my way to touch it, try it out, and give it one heck of a once over, before I see if I can get the exact same item online for a cheaper price.

I have a taste for high quality items, but I can't see spending more for them than necessary, regardless of anonymity.

If it had a good measuring guide and I could return it. I, like Redboxbaby, need to be able to try it on and make sure it can be worn without discomfort or rubbing.

I have a strange Vagus Nerve problem that limits how much pressure can be put on the nerves in my neck and shoulders, related to migraines. I had a beautiful metal and rhinestone collar, that would trigger what appeared to be an anxiety attack any time it was put on. The same with most leather collars.

We found a thin, light leather collar at a common "family" store. (I have no idea what it was doing there, maybe it was meant to be jewelry) It doesn't have a C ring or a D ring on it, but connects with a buckle, but I can't be connected to anything like a leash or lead at the neck anyway.

I'm almost afraid to tell you what we spent on this collar. Less than $25.00. After looking everywhere for one that would be acceptable.

Yeah. I'd be fine with something like that.

I actually got my 24/7 slave collar online. I spent a VERY long time looking through all of the options for it. Unfortunately, I had to spend $140 on it.

I would if there was a workable return/exchange policy and thorough product info/reviews, but I'd be hesitant still with something so important. The return policy would be the most important aspect, for me.

No I personally wouldn't buy a slave collar online or even in store cause I'm the slave and it really doesn't mean anything to me if I have to buy my own collar!
I expect a Master to buy my collar ... I think that's something that should be left up to a Dom. It would mean a whole lot more to me this way.

Because of the lack of brick-and-mortar stores near me, I would.

Probably not. I'd like to make sure it was comfortable first.

Lack of shops near me that sells these things.

However, I would make sure I have the right size etc.

I would, but I'd need to really trust the site (gosh, I wonder what sites I can trust :p). And I would probably need a host of good reviews, too.

Sure, why not? However, I thrive on personal reviews so that would be a huge deciding factor for me.

I don't mind buying many things online; books, cds, sex toys, jewelry. But those things can be taken off, stored away. Its hard for things like books to come and not look how you expected them too. So for something so personal as a collar I would want to see it right in front of me, feel it, hold it, run my fingers over it, look at the detail the work, test its strength. So my sugestion is if you are going to buy something online that you want to be on someone all of the time representing your bond, I would make sure the place is known and has an Excellent return policy just in case.

I would. Just depends on how expensive and if I'm looking for a perfect exact one that I wanted. There are too many factors.

If it was measured properly and I knew exactly what I was buying then I would.

Hm. That's tough. My initial reaction is yes, but there are always fitting and comfort issues. If I trusted the brand, and had worn something by them before, probably. I'd be more likely to if I found it in a store and then bought it online to get special discounts.
