For a beginner I'd use the Lavish nipple clamps - they are lighter and easier to use.

I like tweezer style clamps, without weights or vibrators. They are usually adjustable using the ring at their base, and have rubber covering the tips. I was unable to handle much of anything on my nipples at first (too sensitive) but adjustable tweezer clamps have bridged that gap for me. Now I love them!

I have used some nipples clamps in the past and finally caved in and bought my own pair and bought the "weighted nipple clamps".
I might be speaking differently than everyone else, but I hate to buy beginner things only to really toss them in the future as they would never be used again. I got these clamps, because
a) they have that pin in them that you can make them lose, or tight (beginner or advanced)
b) they are attached
c) the weight is easy enough to remove
d) I can remove the metal chain and replace with something more softer looking than cold hard metal.
e) I mean... come on. Weighted nipple clamps???? How nifty sounding is that!!!
The tweezer style clamps, I was told by numerous friends they look fantastic, but they are not long lasting. Buy only to look pretty not to really enjoy.
And for the price of $15.99... that pin in them where you can make them tighter or looser... to me just made more sense for long term use.
I will be buying a pair of the tweezer style clamps for looks in the future, as well as a pair of the clover style clamps because I just really like the way they open and close.
Sorry I couldn't give you a straight answer!!!

I don't think I'd want to mess with the vibrating bits.

I want to get the clamps with the little bells.

Tweezers are better for beginners!

The tweezer type are fully customizable and allow for just the amount of pinch you want. The drawback is they can be harder to keep on.

Lavish.

Good to know tweezer is better for beginners.

Lavish!

I went straight for the clover clamps as my first, so I can't really speak on this one.
Tweezer ones look like they're great for beginners, though.

Tweezer clamps are better for beginners, though they're not perfect.

vibrating is interesting

Apparently, tweezer style clamps are less intense, thus easier to handle.
02/26/2012
its hard to find a nice pair of vibrating clamps
02/27/2012
lavish for beginners, the tweezer design is less intense.

Definitely agree that you should be the tweezer style to start off with to see if you like the pain / pleasure ratio. goodluck. If you don't like them or even want something more intense.. look around. I know you'll find it. xoxo

Lavish.

The Lavish tweezers look sexy but I would go with the vibrating ones first because they will also be heavier and stay put better. If you just want to look sexy in them, then get the tweezers.
