Hello fellow Edenites. Once again, I turn to your wisdom and advice as I contemplate my near-future sex adventures. This time, it's all about nipple clamps.
Bit of background--I have sensitive breasts, and as much as I love them to be fondled and licked, I also REALLY like it when he pinches them while caught in the throws of passion. I'm submissive and he's dominant, and in the bedroom, we're still exploring (very enthusiastically) those roles. I do get a thrill from mixing my pleasure and pain--I love spankings, and the first time he took his belt to me, I fell in love, so to speak--I like it hard enough to leave bruises. I also like a bit of choking (don't worry, we're safe about it, and he never completely blocks my ability to breathe), biting, hair pulling, and generally being tossed about the bedroom. I also enjoy the psychological aspect of our bedroom roles, and I like for him to be "in control"--I like it when he leads and "makes me" do things, and I get a kick out of punishment/reward games. Basically, I'm still exploring my kinkiness, and this is still a bit new to me, still evolving, and I apologize if I sound ridiculous--it's just my inexperience and curiosity speaking.
So, I have a bit of a fear of nipple clamps. I don't know why--it's like I think my nipples might just rip off if I clamp something onto them (both a gross and ridiculous scenario--sorry!) But I'm intrigued because it frightens me a bit, because I'm finding this kinky side of myself to be immensely satisfying and fulfilling and I want to explore it further, and I want to hand the reins to him to further explore our sub/dom relationship. So, I'm asking kind of blindly, about these products that caught my eye--I think the bells are cute, and since he sometimes calls me his sex kitten, I like the idea of bells jingling from my nipples while we play. The one with the clit clamp REALLY intrigues, but also adds a whole new layer of scariness to the play...and the butterfly clamps apparently have a lot of bite--maybe they are for more advanced nipple play, but I also don't want anything easy, providing me with no challenge. If there are other recommendations than these, please let me know! I'm very new to this and could use a wise sensei to guide me. :)
New to clamps, and nervous (but excited!) Which should I try?

Oops--above I meant the bull nose clamp has bite--I must have been thinking about some other butterfly item here that I have been considering giving a try.

First one, tweezers are easier to handle.

I'd go for the pink bells.

I think the ones with the bells are adorable and with those you could always just wear one as a clit clamp.

tweezers would be best for beginner clamp... can adjust the pressure
09/13/2012
Fresh pink bell nipple clamps

I personally like the bull nose better than the tweezers, but as long as they are adjustable you should be good. Sadly EF does not sell the clamps that I would recommend, which I own. I keep suggesting them, but hopefully one day we will get them. link (That is a link to the manufacturer)

i have the bell ones and the bull nose ones. the bell ones are definitely less intense.

I have the bell ones and the bull nose ones, and honestly I think they are both good for beginners because they are both adjustable. I don't think you have a bad choice up there. It just depends on you. I love both of them for different reasons and use both often.

the y style pinches a lot which I like, but if you are very sensitive, it may be too much for you.

Ready to buy and try after reading this post. I was wondering which type of clamps were best for beginners
09/13/2012
Bullnose...have them, love them. Don't think I could do the "Y" style, my clit is WAY too sensitive.
09/13/2012
I would go with Fresh pink bell nipple clamps
09/13/2012
The pink bells.
09/13/2012
The bells certainly are cute...and are less intimidating than the bullnose ones...damn you EdenFantasys! I want everything on your site! I can't decide with all of these choices.
09/13/2012
The tweezers style ones are generally recommenced for beginner since they are adjustable.
09/14/2012
Tweezer style is best for beginners because you can adjust them to your comfort level.
09/14/2012
I just ordered some tweezer style clamps with a chain. The chain option appeals to me more than bells because you can pull on it...
09/14/2012
The pink bells are cute, to me

I am not at all a fan of the bullnose clamps. My nipples weren't that sensitive (at least, before I got them pierced) and those clamps were harsh little bastards!
09/14/2012
Whoops, double post!
09/14/2012
Y-style clamps

I like the pink ones

Yeah, I was afraid of that, but I thought, "maybe if I just jump right in with the hardcore ones, that'll take some of the nervousness away," but that's silly, isn't it? It would probably turn me off to them completely. Baby steps before we start running, right?

I would start with the tweezer style and then work your way up.

I'm not huge into clamps and hubby and I aren't into heavy play anyway, but we've got the Bulldog clamps and they're fantastic. Easily adjustable without too much bite and the chain is substantial enough to either tug just a little or be pulled by hubby while I'm wearing them.

Since it sounds like you're interested in the bells, those seem like a good place to start. Tweezer clamps (the ones with the bells) are more easily adjustable and a lot more forgiving than alligator or butterfly clamps. Especially if you think you're particularly sensitive, those are the way to go.
Later on, perhaps before trying butterfly clamps, I'd suggest trying clothespins. They're cheap, they're safe, and they can have quite the bite to them. I think I have around 50 clothespins that collectively cost me about $2 and they work fantastically. Especially if you're on a budget (and even if you're not), it's tough to beat that sort of deal when they work that well.

I am new to clamps too but just tried the Alligator ones today and I loved them.

Thanks for the advice! Yeah, the bell ones look nice style wise, and it's probably best to start out with something gentler before looking into the harder stuff. I'll eventually have to try the ones with a chain to pull on, too.
