We use the silk tie-ups/blindfolds instead. They're more versatile, store easily, and are a little more discreet if discovered.

We've got a pair of metal ones (similar to the ones you're comparing), and I really do prefer them over soft/fuzzy ones. Handcuffs are for the pain as well as the restraint. There's something sexy and naughty about seeing welts or bruises left behind after play.

02/17/2012
I'd go with the fuzzy ones.
02/19/2012
I like fuzzy occassionally but they can get very itchy with sweat, so metal can be better for longer term wear

Neither. Leather is best.
02/20/2012
I'd get just the metal... some may prefer to be a bit more comfortable though.
02/20/2012
pink fur.
02/20/2012
Leather or ...anything other than metal handcuffs.
02/20/2012
I agree with Oh My!, I think the silk ones would be better too.
03/05/2012
Silk!

I'd go with the nickel ones since I'd like something rough. But if you're into sensation play and enjoy fur against the skin, try the fur ones.

03/10/2012
I like fur, but not in pink.
03/11/2012

03/14/2012
I like those fur ones, I have them, just not in pink... in the white
03/15/2012
YOU CAN TAKE THE FUR OFF OF THOSE ALSO.

while i don't have those exact metal cuffs. i prefer them over the fuzzy kind. mostly because i find the fuzz to be silly and at time annoying.
03/20/2012
I would prefer something comfortable and out of these the fur ones, but overall something that is leather such as a strap.
03/21/2012
Two words. Steel shackles
03/22/2012
Nickel, but agreed leather is best
03/22/2012

I love pink!!!
04/25/2012
i have a pair of metal ones, but im looking to get some new ones because the chain on that one aint long enough to hook around the bar on the bed
04/25/2012
She preferred fur, though the sport sheets cuffs are even more of a hit. Plus the lack of cold metal meant more options and less unintended suffering.

05/13/2012
I think furry handcuffs are kind of more for show and not real BDSM use.
05/15/2012
I have the double lock handcuffs but i put a furry sleeve over it.
05/15/2012
We use the locking handcuffs but they have the fuzzy stuff on them. Ive gotta big wrist so the metal well dig in me.

09/04/2012
From those two choices I'd go with metal. Fuzzies are a little too cutesy to me. But my favorite way to be restrained is with rope.

09/11/2012
Fuzzy!
11/04/2012
He had fuzzy ones when we first started playing, but I took the fuzzy stuff off one day afterwards and was like, "I think the metal would be more fun..." I like it a bit harder, and slightly uncomfortable.
11/04/2012
Neither, my Neoprene cuffs are my favorite.

Fur handcuffs - pink. Esp since those other ones clearly state "nickle" and well, I'm allergic to Nickle!
11/09/2012
Regular handcuffs or leather cuffs.
11/09/2012
I am on my second pair of cuffs. I have the red feather ones now. A step up from what I had. The all metal ones for sure. But metal if pulled against will cut into the skin. I like being locked up but I don't want the possiblity of marks lasting more then a few hours. Moving to the sports cuffs.

I have both but I prefer metal handcuffs.

I vote for fuzzy. Metal hand cuffs can start digging into your wrists and cause bone bruises. Bad times.
12/05/2012
Metal.
12/05/2012
Absolutely metal. I've never seen a pair of "fuzzy handcuffs" that can stand up to hard play. Any pulling or struggling will usually break them and most come with a release latch to let yourself out. If you are just looking for something playful they may be fine but if you want bondage spend the extra for a good pair of metal locking cuffs.

I prefer metal because they feel more "serious." If that makes sense...
06/06/2013
We used to have fuzzy ones but I don't like them.
06/09/2013
I prefer metal, I like the bit of bite they have if you fight them to hard

Our current metal cuffs are standard police issue cuffs. Call me creepy, but these were actually my father's PD cuffs.
We also have the nylon/velcro cuffs. These are very good for creative restraint scenarios... and regardless of what some say, if you put them on correctly, you're not going to get out of them quickly. Believe me, I've become quite the escape artist and I can't get out of them without a lot of time, and wiggle room.
I'd love to get some leather cuffs, in the future.

I love my metal cuffs, I have a pair of really heavy metal German cuffs, and two lighter pairs that are jointed in the middle. Irish handcuffs can be quite nice too, depending on the shape of the wrist, but have to be sized correctly.

Metal is sexier.
09/29/2014
We have a set of leather ones that I love. The metal ones usually bite into my wrists in a way that is too distracting for me, and the fuzzy cuffs are generally cheap and sometimes they still have a bite to them that I don't enjoy.
10/01/2014
I own a metal pair but rarely use them, we prefer to use rope

I enjoy fuzzy cuffs, my wrists are so small that the metal cuffs have a tendency to hurt after a while.

Many BDSM'ers use the term "play"....
Fuzzy would fall into the "play" catagory.
Metal, REAL metal cuffs is not play. It's serious. You pull on them and they hurt. You pull on them and you're not going anywhere. It's reality.
So, yes... Metal... ALL THE WAY!
*smiles*
We don't play. We're very serious about what we do. But we do it with smiles, tears, and at some point---- pain. If there isn't some pain, somewhere..... what's the point?

We won't use metal cuffs. Too many better options for our needs.
02/20/2012
Not terribly, though that depends on how long you're wearing them (also depends on your personal threshold for discomfort). I find them to be more of a hassle than I feel like dealing with in the moment. I hate the quick release because they come off too easily. At the same time, I dislike not having it there because if/when you lose the keys you're sort of stuck until your partner finds them (not always a fun time). My bf and I have found we like nylon rope the best. It's soft, you can configure it however you like.
02/20/2012
We tried them once and I didn't like them, but I'm also kind of a wimp with kink things and don't like being tied up in general, so I think I might be a bad judge.
02/20/2012
well we weren't rough so it wasn't uncomfortable
02/20/2012
They can be, but sometimes that's part of the appeal.
03/04/2012
They can be, but that depends on what you're doing. We are not rough with each other so the experience was pleasant.
03/15/2012
Metal is a little uncomfortable, but it will be the least of your concern. For those that want metal cuffs but have a nickle allergy, they do make colored metal ones and the enamel acts as a shield for some and you wont react.
04/14/2012
metal hurt if used too long
05/02/2012
Metal cuffs can be very uncomfortable, and they can cut off circulation. I really hate them. Mind, most furry handcuffs are crap too. May I reccomend either of these?
Vegan Jaguar Cuffs
or
Fresh Wrist Restraints
They're more expensive than the ones you've got listed, (though the fresh ones are only just over 30 bucks). But it's *really* worth it.

Prefer metal, fuzzy ones are too cutesy and I don't see how they would be much more comfortable. Metal ones can be uncomfortable, depending upon how long you wear them and the position you are in. If you want comfort go with leather cuffs.
05/15/2012
For me they are. Handcuffs aren't my favorite even with fuzzy covers. But, that's just me.
11/09/2012
I have used them on others but not on myself. My partner who was wearing them had no problems with it and didn't say anything, so even though I imagine it wasn't the most comfortable, it didn't seem like that was the point.
It depends on what is uncomfortable for YOU during sex. If something cutting into you thrills you, metal might be good for you, but if not, try something comfier. If you want something more comfortable I would get something like the fur lined soft ones that don't have the locks. There are some that are really well put together and hard to get out of while still being soft and comfortable unlike the ones with any metal. That fur is still covering metal, so they may still cut into you.
