I'm shopping for my first set of leather cuffs, and I'd like to know how the different kinds of lining compare in terms of comfort. I like pain, but I don't want something that will leave marks or chafe or burn. Experienced bondage players, help me out here! Which kind of lining do you prefer, and what does it feel like for you?
Do you prefer leather, fleece, or fur-lined wrist cuffs?

I prefer leather-lined. In my experience things get uncomfortably warm with faux-fur lining. Haven't tried fleece, but would expect the same.

Honestly, I think that it depends on the cuffs. There are different styles and different styles are more comfortable with different lining. Though I tend to stick to leather or fur (both faux) they both heat up too easily if used on the wrong cuffs!

Fur and fleece are nice and comfortable, but they get too hot during any kind of long term play.
Leather, however, gets incredibly hot as well, but at least has the benefit of being a bit easier to clean after you've sweat for three hours in them.
For short term play, or light play, fur or fleece is fine. Anything else? Must must must be leather, for me and mine.

Probably fur so long as it was super soft.
Or actually, they should line it with Minky! :O It'd be uberly soft!

Fur... defiantly fur.

I love the smell of leather but it's not the best lining/

Leather all the way! You can have padding under the leather, as long as there is leather on top!

The best cuffs we have are actually lined with Neoprene.
They look something like these: Cuffs
They actually breath well they are softer so they don't tend to chafe and you can usually wash them so there aren't any odors. The way they lap over one another with there velcro straps keeps them from coming undone and the d ring makes it so you can attach them to anything or get some clips and make them a comfy set of cuffs.

Hmm. Thanks for all your input, guys. I talked to a bondage expert and decided to go with the Jaguar Cuffs in black and blue. They're super on sale right now, if anyone is needing an attractive, high-quality pair of cuffs. Unfortunately, the matching ankle cuffs are only available through the manufacturer, but maybe someday eden will carry them. I'm hoping, at least.

We have the Jaguar cuffs from Aslan leather (bought it on super sale. It is very comfortable and sturdy. I also enjoy cuffs that are fur-lined, if they are of good quality

Not sure. I'm real sensitive to odors, so it would probably depend on the particular product.

I prefer fur/fleece lining. It keeps the leather from getting a funky smell or rubbing.

I just ordered the leather Jaguar cuffs and I'm super excited about them. I think fur lined would be comfy, but probably a bit harder to keep clean.

Can't go wrong with leather

Fur and fleece seem tougher to clean and like they wouldn't last as long. I seriously love my Jag cuffs.

Really depends on your body type, and sensitivity levels. I prefer a softer feel.

The neoprene stuff is just fine with me. I really love the slightly fur feel to the under the bed restraint system, but I would never do real fur. Vegan is my actual preference.
