Collars For Daily Wear

Contributor: Britni TheVadgeWig Britni TheVadgeWig
I'm not sure if this is the right place to put this, but does anyone know of a good place to buy BDSM jewelry? I'm looking for a collar that I can wear daily. It can be one of those thick wire ones that closes pretty tightly, or just something that represents my collar. I'm not really sure what it is I'm looking for exactly. Part of the problem is that I tend to be on the quirky side and both me and my Master would like something that represents that. Also, if He could have it engraved, that would be best.

Anyone have any suggestions? I'm at a loss of where to look and Google hasn't been all that helpful.

Collar Factory makes gorgeous stuff, but I don't see anything for daily wear. Everything is leather and *looks* like a collar; I can't wear that to work.

I'm looking for something I can wear 24/7, to work, to dinner with parents, out with friends... that doesn't look like I'm wearing a collar.

Perhaps try Ebay?

Only place I can think of is Pawstar, but again, that's collar collars. Though they do have cute animal hats and 'paw' warmers.

Or maybe you can comission someone on Etsy to make one for you?

Forgot to mention these are wholesale, so you would have to either get a few and sell the rest on ebay, or find out where you can buy them retail. But there are some nice ideas.

Yeah, seconded, this is what I thought when I saw this post. These collars are available all over the net, the company also does bracelets and anklets, which are a good alternative for someone who really can't do the collar thing even with something as discrete as this one.

I like the idea of using a choker.

Rhinestone choker might be nice for everyday wear link

I'm also a huge fan of softer, ribbon/lace/velvet chokers link

I prefer the latter, as it's less flashy.

Here's a useful site!

This page has links to a few different companies. Some make pretty discreet collars My favorite company is SM Factory in Germany <3

I've been looking on Etsy, too, because like I said, I want something unique.

The page that Avery Dragon linked to is very helpful.

Thank you for all the suggestions.

That should be "explaining" *headdesk*

Just click on "Collars" on the right-hand side. Everything is completely custom, and you can get a screw-down collar or just with a clasp.

I've seen a variety of different options used by people who need a "public" collar, even wrist and ankle bracelets. One idea I love is an ankle bracelet with a locket or charm that was engraved.

The collar is a symbol of ownership and as such it can be interpreted any way you see fit. Even a clit piercing could be a collar, if you wanted it to be. Hell, even a wedding band could be a collar. The point is, as long as you are reminded of it's true meaning when you see it, your public collar can be anything you choose and doesn't have to go around your neck to serve it's true purpose.

I've been looking at every day collars for my boy, so this thread has been very helpful for me, too! I want something that is either androgynous or semi-feminine as that is a big part of our play.

We have cuffs from EternityCollars.com. We have the raw line and LOVE them. Their customer service is great, too. We had to have his customized because of his large wrists and they were fantastic about it. The Eternal Exchange program is nice too.

i personally like using the really obvious ones, myself, but these might be what you're looking for. i also like necklaces with minerals as daily collars, or locking necklaces.

My favorites are the ones that sub-shop.com. Some are very subtle, some not. Plus, they're really cute.

Oh. Also check out collarfactory.com. It lets you design your own for not that much. If you make one to coordinate with the style that you usually wear, it can be perfect for daily wear.

I love Collar Factory, they are a more personalized version of Spartacus Leather. They have awesome customer service and have been a pleasure to work with many times. Even going so far as to test new idea's for me and at one point making sure a collar made it on time for a special day. They're awesome for those looking for a collar that's not prefab or generic. Lately they've been working with me to send in items like different rhinestones and studs for even more customized collars and cuffs.

I also have an Eternity collar, great exchange program! I have to say for as much as they cost, it's a nice peace of mind to know that if you didn't get the right size, that they'll fix it. It's perfect for first time shoppers for a locking steel collar. Once you know your size in steel you can shop around on other sites.

Have you tried BeadCreation.com? They have hundreds of ribbon, lace, and leather collars and chokers. Plus they customize the size for free to any length you ask for. I think they are pretty affordable too. The ones I have are very comfortable. I wear mine constantly and they have held up well.

My sub has two collars- a bedroom one and one that she can wear in public, which is just a necklace... with a twist. It lights up, which is useful if you ever do public play at night!

Etsy is nice for unique jewelry. They have some things that look more like traditional collars. You could also get a necklace, bracelet, or anklet as a way to represent your relationship.
