I want to experience the feeling of being bound. So far, all we've done is have him hold my wrists together with a belt. What do you guys recommend, rope or tape?

I love rope, but it takes some skill to make it work. My husband watches videos like crazy learning knots and such. If you're just starting out, I'd go with the tape. Much easier to use.

The tape would probably be easier to get the hang of the first time.

I like rope the bets, but tape is easier by far.

Tapes easy to work with

Rope is far sexier but the tape is much better for beginners.

Rope if your partner knows how to tie knots, otherwise tape or comfortable cuffs

I was introduced with bandannas! But I'd actually recommend a pair of cuffs for easy & extremely hot restraint play! Tape can be too easy to wiggle out of and isn't re-usable, and rope is too easy to pinch/mess up/cause nerve damage if you don't know what you're doing.

The tape I guess.

Rope can cause nerve damage?! I was actually leaning towards it since it is re-usable and sexy. I might rethink that now. Do you have any cuffs you recommend?

Of the two choices I'd go with the tape but cuffs would be good too.

The tape is pretty foolproof. But, simple bondage with ropes isn't hard to learn. Go to Lowe's and get nylon rope and you'll be set.

Rope is better, more versatile.

I wholeheartedly agree, not to mention that there are shorter ropes out there, for beginners, and obviously you want to do the needed research about BDSM safety before venturing into anything!

So yep, rope is what I would go for, even without a clue about knots you can use simple ones, and find tutorials on tying too of course! ^^

Rope is far too complicated!

Tape Is Better For Beginners

I like the rope

If I were you I would use something around the house first like a mans tie or maybe a scarf. Because real bondage materials are sometimes painful and not only restricting but really hurt. So be cautions of what you choose. Good luck!

The tape is fairly easy to use

This kind of rope is not like, just regular harsh rope that you get at the hardware store. It's soft and intended specifically be used to tie someone up. You aren't going to cause nerve damage that way. That's silly.

Anyway, the rope. Yeah, the tape might be easier to use, but the rope is very versatile. It can be simple if you want it to be. Then when you're ready to try out knot tying, you'll have the rope you need.

I love the tape

Tape unless he is good at knots that you can escape easily if needed, for intro
