Best for a beginner

My partner and I are just getting into the BDSM a little more. I am ready to get terribly freaky, and I am not sure what to make my next purchase on. I am into the choking, spanking, wow there is way too much to mention. I don't have handcuffs yet, nor do I have restraints yet. My partner says that before we get into the handcuffs we need a real bed frame. I think it is safe to say that we are into almost everything, my latest purchase was nipple clamps and I absolutely love them, but don't think they are enough. Do any of you out there have any other recommendations?

I don't have a bed frame, either. I love my under the bed restraints, though. Works like a charm, if you're wanting restraints but don't have a frame. :]

If you like spanking, I'd maybe look into some crops, too.

I'm a big fan of rope. Not only is it great for restraints, it's also great aesthetically (chest harnesses are easy to make and incredibly hot) and it's just so much more versatile than most other restraints. Hell, I even made an impromptu ball gag out of some spare rope the other day! Let's see someone try to do that with a pair of handcuffs

As for clamps, which ones have you tried so far? Clover clamps will definitely give you a more intense sensation if that's what you're looking for (make sure you can take it though; those things are mean). Otherwise, clothespins actually tend to make fairly decent (and incredibly cheap) clamps, so give those a try if you haven't already.

Thank you very much for your input, I will be sure to try to use other alternatives before making purchases then.

Spanking toys are great. But also just grab some household items (spoons, shoes, rulers, really anything and try those out too).

I think restraints are my favourite. I invested in some nice leather ones and after a year they look identical to when I bought them. They do require cleaning and conditioning, but I think it is well worth it.

I made an under the best restraint myself using rope. I would guess it cost something like 5 dollars. Just run rope under the bed. Tie a knot in the middle of the two rope and run the ends to the corners of the beds. Restraints can be used to tie limbs together, not just limbs to the bed. This can still be very restrictive (for example something like a hogtie).

I personally think my restraints are the most used toy I have. But other ones I would suggest are a wartenburg wheel and ordinary clothespins.
