What would be a good kit to start with? I've got literally NOTHING to do with bondage right now. We've made due with ribbon for tying and sleep masks for sight deprivation. Not the best things and not very sexy.

There's a big difference between a $20 kit and a $79 kit.

I have the lover's prisoner kit and the our first bondage kit.

I probably wouldn't go all out for the expensive one as my first kit. I'd get a less expensive one to see if I like it first, then invest in a better quality one later.

Definitely buy something that will be simple enough for you to get a feel for what you like and dislike, then move up to more complex and more expensive as your tastes become more refined.

I agree with the other posters, bondage basics seems like the better choice.

My husband and my first bondage kit was an under the bed restraint system by sportsheets. We have many more things now, more hardcore, but this is still a favorite. It is constantly under the mattress between the mattress and the boxspring. It is very versatile, easy to use, uses velcro restraints aroung the wrists and ankles and hides very easily under the mattress when necessary.

Id go with the highest rated one you can afford.

Get a medium/higher priced kit then learn what you like from that and purchase higher quality items as you can afford them.

Bondage basics.

I'd go with either Our first or just buying something like the 5 piece hogtie and cuff set (link) and a separate matching blindfold). The cuffs from the set are good, and they look a bid sturdier then the ones in the basic kit. Rope is also nice, but unless you have some experience/a guidebook on tying, it can be a bit intimidating.
