Any way to make a collar longer?

Well I was looking at the collars and the problem is my guy has a pretty big neck so the one's I really want to get him just won't fit. Does anyone know a way to make them a just few inches longer without ruining them?
I'm decent at sewing so that won't be an issue if need be. ^_^

Have you considered getting one custom made ? Or making one yourself ?

You could extend it in the back by adding a piece in, but it would lower the integrity of the piece, and if it was contoured it wouldn't work. If the collar was leather, you'd either need to hand-punch and sew or have a sewing machine capable of working with strong leather and the requisite leather needle (otherwise, a much higher chance of your needle shattering - not good).

If it's just for looks, you could glue an extension to the underside of the part with the holes, however, you sacrifice structural integrity - it would be easy to remove and with something like E6000, you might even be able to remove it unscathed - but it wouldn't hold up to much abuse.

I have a friend that makes them so I could probably order a custom one...never considered that before.
x'D I don't have the talent to make one myself yet though. And as for just being for looks...I love the look of some of them but with him being as strong as he is and underestimating his own strength it would probably be better to just order a custom one.

How big is his neck? The collars on EF are super cute, but in all honesty if you have a neck measurement and want something durable you can find beautiful and strong leather dog collars in a variety of sizes in other places on the internet. For example

About 19 inches during the winter, and about 18 during the warmer months when he can exercise more.
Might try going to just a regular pet store first, sometimes they have some cute ones. ^_^
I want to get one in sort of a black and red color scheme with little hearts to match a paddle I bought on The Stockroom site but I can always stitch the hearts on myself.

Oh man I LOVE black and red hearts, apparently you can buy (for your 4 legged pet) themed valentines collars, leashes, and panties (that makes me feel a bit weird.) I know this isn't leather but I've been lusting after this leash/collar for sometime....

It may not be leather but it's pretty darn cute! =3

...it's a little creepy that you can but panties for your pets though x_x;
Diapers I can understand, some pets have incontinence issues...but panties?

You can buy cute doggie bone shaped bit gags for your two legged pets though. x'D
