I haven't used one for DP, but I have tried on some harnesses. Here's what I found:
Double-strap "jocks" are the only way to go. Ones without a pad or with a removable pad are generally safe, though the silicone dildo can sometimes pull your hair (not really bad, just a bit). Wear the dildo above your penis, so your penis sticks between the two butt straps. See my videos on the Curve Kit or the Commando to get an idea of how this works.
Because the dildo is over your penis you'll need to choose your position based on what goes where. Doggy/stomach down will put you in her vagina and your dildo in her anus, missionary/back down will have you in her anus and your dildo in her vagina.
There are a few specialized harnesses for men. Some have a "basket" that goes over the penis which may make it difficult to do DP. Others have a pad with a cutout for the penis, and the harness is worn above the penis similar to the other harnesses.
Of the ones I've tried I'd recommend the Sportsheets ones with removable pads or the Aslan Commando. Since you've got something that's already mounted there a harness that doesn't take up too much space is better.
