I heard it can be shortened to use on a thigh--I had it strapped to a pillow and it worked great! The downside might be the straps that hang when you shorten it. If you want just for thighs, then perhaps just get a regular thigh harness. (Don't have one so I can't recommend.)

Before buying anything do a "dry run" to see how you both like and can tolerate the positions and movements required for using a thigh/chest/whatever harness.

I'd recommend the Sportsheets harness over that one honestly. I agree with Scott - try the positions beforehand without the harness before you purchase this. In my case, the boyfriend had a dildo in and just had the dildo rest upon my skin, and he could "use" it that way without the harness. It just didn't provide as much friction. We found out that we found the position hot, so we picked up a harness to do it more often.

I like to lay on my back and have the thigh harness on my thigh when him on top. If we're feeling really adventurous, I'll move my knee into about a 45 degree angle with him still on top, he'll pull up his feet and rest them on the front-side of my knee, and support all of his weight through his arms and we'll do it that way.
