when bottoming in public venues and demos, particularly with tops new to me, I use 'lawsuit.' I have yet to have anyone not stop when they heard that word, regardless of thier focus and attention.

While I do have a friend who jokingly says her safeword is "pineapple pineapple pineapple" in rapid succession, I actually think that the safest way to use these signals is to settle on something simple. "Red" and "yellow" have pretty clear meanings (stop and proceed cautiously). I am not saying those are your only options...penumbra's "lawsuit" is a great example of what to use when playing with new people. I just don't think that, when a bottom has reached their limit, they're going to be able to remember anything complicated (or silly).

We use the standard red/yellow, but murder is the one that gets used the most. The problem I've found with a lot of the silly ones people use is that they break up the scene too much, unless you make a lot of effort to use it creatively.
Love penumbra's suggestion of 'lawsuit'.

Yeah, things like "apricot" or "muskrat" come to mind. We don't do too much that requires safe words, though, so I often forget them and we have to invent new ones almost every time!

We use banana now... it came about when a couldn't remember the word and out of nowhere I shouted banana. He burst out laughing and we've used it ever since.

Bananna, because of a certain Whitest Kids U Know sketch.
02/20/2012
We're boring, and just use "Safeword."
02/20/2012
lawsuit and murder those are good ones, the last one i think we said, but never used was, fladoodle
02/20/2012
Once upon a time it was "armadillo." Now its "fuzzy octopus"
02/20/2012
Our safe word is also banana and I didn't even equate it to the Whitest Kids You Know until just now. That's awesome.

lol seriously? My partner and I are brainstorming a lighthearted "stop" or "slow down" word and we want it to be completely detached from our public lives. It's more difficult that we expected. Any suggestions? We tried Spanish because we are fluent-ish, but it got weird.

We have a Safe Word, but usually he can tell from my tone and I can tell from his tone or body movements (Doms sometimes need to stop, too) when something is too much.
Last night, he was getting too aggressive with the anal probe and I gently touched his hand.... nothing. So, I finally did have to say, "Not so hard." Then, I had to really let him know it was getting into "bad hurting territory." Not terrible bad territory, just it was at a weird angle and I wanted him to change it. He did and after that it was amazing.
We know each other really well, so usually he can tell from my tone when to slow down or stop. I guess last night he was really into it and I had to stress the Safe Word.

I said "chicken nuggets" once, I think.. I had made chicken nuggets for my girlfriend's birthday and it was the first thing that popped into my head.
