I would just run away from it. I dont even let my girl lick the opening of my urethra and this thing is just scary.

I have no interest in sounds or urethral plugs personally.
01/31/2011
umm, huh?
02/03/2011
I'm curious, do you mean just urethral plugs, as in the kind meant to stay in place for extended periods of time or do you include sounds as well?
02/11/2011
I had never heard of these before. Thanks for posting.

I think there are two types of plugs from what I can see depending on the way they are made, for either extended wear or just as a probe.

I would be willing to give one a try. Won't know until then if I like it though.
03/11/2011
I'm pretty sure my boy would never be down for that (and I wouldn't really want to see it. All I would be able to think about would be the possible UTIs. Yeow!)

Definitely not something healthy to do... I've heard of people developing scar tissue and major damage from urethral stretching. I was in the ER once and a man in the bed next to me had actually ripped his penis from trying to do this... it was awful, and I caught a glimpse of it on accident and almost puked. I wouldn't try it.

I'm not sure whether I'd support the sale of urethral sounds or such on this site. Some bdsm toys are specialized enough that they require a skilled, sane, practiced top. I think that having to search for a mentor and or the specialty sites where you'd find such toys is a very minimal safeguard. I wouldn't want to see them sell branding toys either (altho personally I love 'em).
Urethra play requires good prep, communication and always includes some risk of infection. The sounds and plugs have to be sterilized (some people who play with these buy medical autoclaves to do so properly) they require MUCH lubrication. And you should have your sub drink a liter or 2 of water afterwards and pee immediately. In fact excessive hydration and peeing for the next 12-24 hours is best. It's not only safer and reduces infection (or makes injury immediately obvious) but it helps to ritualize and eroticize safety and the "seriousness" of play.
I had a former sub who had stretched his urethra wide enough to insert a bullet vibe. *We always used the kind that was attached to the cord. It was very amusing to slowly lower it/coax it down into his scrotum... then his balls could be made to vibrate. I called this his "party trick". We used a brand new bullet every time. He also liked catheter play but urine squicks me. LOL.
The ER horror story that secrettoylover mentions above is exactly why masochists should be very cautious about bdsm play alone. Find a supportive community and a knowledgeable playmate(s). Also always recognize that dangerous play may require medical assistance if it goes badly. This can be as simple as overtight bondage or face-slapping. If you are not prepared to drive your partner to the ER immediately if something goes wrong, you have no right to take your fantasy into reality.
With power comes responsibility.

If my man were interested, it would definitely be something I would be interested in trying with him. But he isn't.
08/15/2011
No, although I sometimes threaten my partner with it. Lol. Just a joke though. I have looked into the steel probe things for the urethra and ooooh they make me cringe! Looks so painful. While I'm really not scared to try many things or put just about anything safe (or semi-safe! Lol) in my cooter hole, I am a freak about putting things in any other holes. No booty hole stuff and no pee hole stuff! Lol. It just seems so painful.iT just doesn't seem safe to me though. My man isnt interested, but if I was just begging him (which I would never ever do) to try it, he would I'm sure. I'm just not turned on by it all. But if you are interested in that you might also like some of the other more extreme things like the urethra probes and the catheter items for play. I forgot the company that I happened across them, but I'm sure you'll find them if you search online.

That was really interesting to get an input from someone who did try this. I know that the first time I saw the product I thought it looked pretty, but I'd definitely not want to play with such a thing on my boyfriend knowing how careful you have to be with this.

Never heard of it!
08/17/2011
I would never want my man to wear one of those.
08/23/2011
I'd be open to trying it, but it isn't something I necessarily want to do.
08/27/2011
Oh my. umm...wow. Maybe?
08/28/2011
I was just thinking that now that I have a boyfriend, I should show him the picture and look at his reaction. Will probably be of pain.

so this all started when my wife (at the time girlfriend) were in an altered state. She took one of those small mouth glowsticks and got as much of it in my urethra as she could without losing her grip on it. From what i remembered about it it was AMAZING!!!!!! Fast forward 12 yrs and i brought up the topic again. She was a bit worried about trying it again. I understood her concernes as we were really messed up when we last did it and well it had been 12 yrs....

Since I’m single, I did not think that my own personal curiosity would be enough to make Edenfantasys carry this product, but someone else, who has a penis available, might want one. I saw a few interesting ones on a site, and I was fascinated by them. Like this:
The question is open for women as well, where it becomes 'Are you interested to see your partner use a urethral plug?' Also, if anyone had some interesting stories or health concerns to share about such a product, it would be most welcome. less

We talked about it more and i assured her it was somthing tht i really did want to try again. While we were out at Walmart we were walking down the arts and craft section and we came across a set of crochet needles in various sizes. we kind of joked about it but both knew they were exactly what we needed. A week or so later we finally had some time and i asked her if she wanted to "break them out" she told me to go ahead as i was on my own. She did not want to hurt me and was still unsure if i would like it. Hell i was unsure if i was gonna like it. So i started out and from the moment i inserted the tip in i felt this shock of pleasure. I kept pushing it further and further down and the next thing i knew i had it more than half way down. She kept watching me for a while as i kept stroking myself and sliding the needle in and out. i looked over to her and she seemed so intrested in what i was doing i asked if she wanted to take over. She agreed and i assumed my hand job position. (she has never let me watch ner give me one) as i layed there she got up and got a thicker needle. he started out as i did sliding it on the slit then ever so slowly started working it in me. i could feel it as it slid in and out. As time went on i asked her how far down she had it and i go no answer. i asked her again and her reply was "are you sure you want to know" I told her yes. She had it as deep as she could without it going compleatly in. I laughed and told her "is it bad that i want you to go deeper in". needless to say we both really enjoyed it. It had to be one of the best moments we had in a long time. hell she even said she came a little when i did. we have since looked into buying some urethral sounds and jewlry and cant wait till we can get them

1) It's rather interesting looking (and there are tons of designs out there for true plugs to night and day plugs, which allow for urination and ejaculation through them). 2) INCREDIBLE sensation from inserting them. 3)If using a real plug or even one with a narrow through-hole, it can delay orgasm and/or increase the power behind the orgasm. Think, "Fountains of Cum."

That said, I own one and haven't been able to get it in yet - need to do some sounding first.

First thought: WTF no
Second thought: What if they made a kind that adds some sort of extension to the penis to spice up intercourse?

Own one (maybe two? I think I may have a faux-PAW here now that I think of it). Can't fit the plug in yet - it's just a little too thick and would require sounding to stretch out a little bit.

Also - those that mention urethral catheters and shudder - from what I've experienced vs what I've heard, it seems that hospitals just don't care enough to try to make the cath process less painful. Been cathed in a kink class and it wasn't painful - it was damn fun! But if you have to do 50 caths a day, I suppose you stop worrying about making sure the patient isn't going to have nightmares - you just want to get it in, get it done, and move on (no offense to health practitioners - it's like the difference between repairing a computer for fun versus for work.)

If my partner's interested in it, I'd explore with him. I am kinda intrigued by the idea at the same time scared.
12/10/2011
I'm curious, only because I've never seen one before.
01/17/2012
I've seen a number as "jewelry" but it's not really my thing...
01/17/2012
That is something I don't think I would try.
01/17/2012
I don't find it sexy, personally. Whatever floats your boat, though.
