I've watched all types of porn and what I have learned is that the type of porn is not what is important. Boy/Girl, Girl/Girl, Oral, Anal, bondage, gangbang, plot, no plot... it just does not matter. What matters is the quality. Sloppy editing, stupid dialogue or an unbearable soundtrack are all bad for the blood flow.
Do the actors seem real? Do they look like they are actually into it?

For myself, anything with overly tanned barbies is a no go, too much cheesy plot is a turn off, and too many people in an orgy is hard to follow. 4 or less in a scene is usually good for me. I used to not like masturbation scenes but i've grown to like them quite recently.

Yea, vintage porn is cool! I watched Candida Royalle's Golden Age of Porn clips from the 70's, and wow is it different!
