Baby Talk weirds me out
Is "baby talk" during a porn scene a turn on or a turn off?
12/01/2010
Meh, I'm not much for any talk during my porn, unless it's building up to the plot. After they start, everyone needs to shutup.
12/01/2010
baby talk is the worst.
12/28/2010
Can't remember ever seeing this but it sounds annoying and a turn off.
12/28/2010
Baby talk is for babies- end of story.

huge turn off
01/26/2011
There are a good many discs that we have that we keep the sound off while we watch. I don't mind all the body slapping, squishy noises and the moaning but for the love of God...when the action starts STOP TALKING. There's no need for it at all. LOL
01/26/2011
Its a turn off for me
02/04/2011
It's a turn off for me too; whining is in it's own annoying category-I have ZERO tolerance for whining from anyone.
02/11/2011
Don't think I'd ever catch it in porn, but if my wife started "baby talk" during sex it would be a turn off.
02/11/2011
I think I know exactly the actress you're talking about. The minute a dick goes in her, her voice goes up like, an octave and she starts wimpering. Ugh. Freaks me out.
02/11/2011
It doesn't really make me turn it off, but it does make me laugh, lol. I noticed that on a couple I recently viewed as well.
03/29/2011
After reading your post on the scene, I would say that it would turn me off.
My parter and I sort of play sub/dom roles where I am the sub naughty girl. I do sometime make "whiny" whimpering type of noises when he slaps my breast and bum but I never baby talk. So I guess I can tolerate some whimpering but not sobbing/crying.

It depends. If it's soley whining noises than it could be tolerable, but if the baby talk is extensive i might fast forward the scene.

I don't like baby talk by guys or girls in either film or in real life. It annoys me to no end to hear a grown woman sound like she is 5 or 6.

My husband and I recently watched some porn together. In one of the scenes, the actress "baby talked" and whined (almost like a little girl crying) throughout much of the scene. I found it to be EXTREMELY annoying, as did my husband. It actually ruined the scene (and the mood) for us.
In addition to being annoyed, my husband also said the baby talk and whining made him feel like a rapist (I think he actually meant a pedophile). He essentially viewed the scene as a break in the action and he took the opportunity to head to the kitchen for a drink and a snack.
Oh, and an additional thing the actress did that annoyed me to no end was that she kept looking at the camera during the scene, even holding the gaze at times for several long moments. Her scene was at the very end of the movie, which had successfully been filmed up to that point (save for one brief slip earlier) with the actors/actresses pretending the camera was not present. It was painfully obvious that she was less involved in the action with her partner and was instead focused solely on putting on a show for the camera. (And, yes, I realize that porn stars are paid to have sex and may not necessarily be in to it, but most of them do a good job of making it believable). But that is kind of an aside and not part of the poll . . . though I'd love to hear comments about this, too.
I wondered why the director did not re-cut the scene and ask the actress not to baby talk and whine so much, but then I thought that there actually must be an audience for this since people have different tastes.
What do you think? Is baby talk and little girl whining a turn on or a turn off? The voting is private, but if you don't mind sharing your views, I'd love to hear your reasons why you chose your answer! less

I sometimes act like a "little girl" when I'm sick.. usually its a miserable sick version of me that reverts to her 12 year old miserable antics (only when I was sick). Otherwise, during porn.. such a turn off!
07/05/2011
It's definitely a huge turn off!

I really do not participate in any age regression play, so baby talk of any kind would turn me off during sex. From my point of view, sex isn't for children and I see nothing sexual about children. So, for me, baby talk in porn is.... not attractive and bordering on causing me to gag.

This. Not only is it a huge turn off but I tend to be really opposed to involving children (or any semblance there of) in sexual scenarios. Having a daughter and another child on the way I can honestly say that if I ever encountered a person who was into this I wouldn't be able to handle it.

on that note- what video were you guys watching (if you don't mind) so that I know to steer clear.

a turn off.

I think it depends
07/28/2011
A turn-on unless it's overdone. Then it's just silly.
07/28/2011
I only like non-visual porn. So if I'm listening to someone moaning it has to be a girl masturbating, or else it does nothing for me (men's voices/moans turn me off instantly) And I wouldn't imagine I'd enjoy baby talk during that, but I also don't see how it could be there. xD

Baby talk is always annoying, unless someone does it to be demeaning, then it's either funny or very annoying.
This reminds of 30 Rock when Jenna does baby talk to be sexy.

I can't stand it, major turn off.

Baby talk is a huge turn off, and staring into the camera even more so.

I agree with your husband 100%. Also the stars should be pretending the camera is not there!

Same here. I can't watch a lot of porn because the women usually don't often sound truly into it. And that is a major turn off for me. Sometimes if I like the way things look, I turn the sound off or put music on. I find myself more turned on by amateur porn and Japanese porn--the latter often involves a lot of "baby talk" and whining, but it sounds more natural to me than most Western things. But I'd prefer people to not talk much at all...

I'd turn it off immediately and without hestitation. Then again, I don't really watch professional porn anyway. Regardless of the scene, I almost invariably hate the audio. I usually get the most annoyed by the male actors trying to sound macho or dominating, but I also get annoyed by the female actors who are trying to *sound* sexy.
I'm sorry, but I'm an acousticophile, and I can instantly tell the difference between someone who has a sexy voice and someone who is *TRYING* to sound sexy. It's like the difference between a comedian who is funny and a comedian who is trying to be funny. Like Yoda always says: do or do not; there is no try... less
