I am not a novice at anal play. However, I had never used a butt plug before trying this one. Let's face it, I am an aesthetics snob. I like pretty things to go in my body, and, well...butt plugs aren't pretty. I am sure there must be a few, but you would be hard pressed to find one. The UR3 Raging Butt Plug is no exception. It is ugly. I mean downright ugly. I have said before and I will say again that I am not fond of realistic looking toys, but this little guy disturbs me. The manufacturers attempted to use features of a realistic penis with veins and a pronounced head, but then contorted those features to create a shape that is better suited for anal use. It is not very visually appealing. I had to remind myself that it was going in my ass, so looks aren't everything. Still, the toy's appearance ade it hard to get aroused by it.The real question is does the UR3 Raging Butt Plug work? Yes, it does. Once it is in, it gives that full sensation that is very pleasurable. The flanged base keeps it in place, so it can be "worn" while walking around comfortably.However, I have several issues with the UR3. First is the material. Supersoft is a very porous material designed to feel like real skin. It does feel very real, which can be wonderful. On the other hand, being porous means that it will retain odors and be very difficult to clean. The manufacturers recommend that this material be covered with a condom to make it easier to clean, and then to clean it with an antibacterial toy cleaner. My issued with this are that (1) I am in a monogamous relationship, where we no longer have a need to use condoms. I have no desire to go out and purchase condoms for one toy. In addition, I have to buy specialty condom due to a latex allergy, which further reduces my desire to purchase them. (2) Why on earth would anyone make a toy that could potentially harbor bacteria or odors when its sole purpose is to be used in anally? I know that for a lot of people covering their toys is common practice (a good practice too), so this might not be a negative for them. (3) When I first washed the toy to prep it for use, the color on the head washed off; yet another reason to wash it ahead of time and cover your toy.I also had an issue with its relative "firmness". I have used dildos anally as well as anal sex. I am familiar with how to prep for anal play: lots of lube, using fingers to relax first. I found the Raging Plug to be less than firm, and it was difficult to actually insert it, despite my prep time. It took a little work, but I finally was able to get it in place.One common occurrence when using butt plugs is that they will sometimes pop out of place when you get excited and muscles start to contract. I had never experienced that with other anal toys, but sure enough this guy came flying out right at the moment of climax, which gave us a good laugh. Since my experience with butt plugs is limited, I might opt for a plug that has more of a "flare" to it to keep it in place easier, as this one has very little flare to allow the muscles to grip it well.I give the UR3 butt plug two stars. While it served its purpose well, I took off points for appearance, material and firmness and clean-up.
