Impulse flexi P sex toy review
I asked to review the Impulse Flexi P partially because it seemed like an excellent replacement for my much-beloved first vibrator. I considered the poseable quality of the Impulse merely a bonus. Clearly, I’d underestimated this sex toy.

Pros
Flexible shaft is excellent for hitting the g-spot, phthalates-free, and quiet but strong
Cons
Spine doesn't always stay flexed (or maybe I'm too rough!); packaging was a little flimsy.
I asked to review the Impulse Flexi P partially because it seemed like an excellent replacement for my much-beloved (and loved too much; the motor burned out) first vibrator. I considered the poseable quality of the Impulse merely a bonus. Clearly, I’d underestimated this sex toy.
The Impulse Flexi P is a traditional vibrator, with of course the aforementioned poseability. A spine inside of the shaft bends and stays in position to create a curve intended to conform to the body. It’s semi-realistic with a traditionally cock-shaped head and veining, and it comes in red and purple.
In addition to its flexing, the Impulse has multiple speeds and functions: four speeds of vibration and escalating, pulsing, and faster pulsing functions. The switch for all of these is a simple on/off switch on the bottom of the vibrator. Additionally, it has an odd but not unpleasant baby powder scent.
Of course, once it got here, I just had to try it. At first, I just played with the Impulse, bending it, squeezing it, and testing out the vibration speeds and functions. With four AAA batteries, the Impulse was strong but surprisingly quiet. While it can certainly be heard under a blanket, my living space has notoriously thin walls, and I couldn’t hear it in the next room.
The texture of the TPR material is such that it requires lubricant to be smooth enough for insertion, so by the time I was ready to actually test the Impulse, I took out my favorite water-based lubricant and bent the vibrator’s shaft so that it would angle up toward my g-spot.
I rubbed the Impulse over my clitoris first, happily noting that it’s pretty good for clitoral stimulation when using the side of the vibrator rather than the tip. I, of course, was far more interested in that bending shaft. Penetration was easy; while the Impulse is a thick toy, it’s quite squishy, so it wasn’t difficult to slide the Impulse right in.
I immediately realized just why the flexible nature of the Impulse was important: bent at the angle I’d shifted it to, the Impulse was rubbing oh so nicely up against my g-spot. Even with the curve, it was easy to fuck with this toy, with the vibrations targeting all the right spots thanks to the bullet placed up near the head. It was a strong enough bullet, however, to make the entire toy vibrate nicely. That first orgasm actually took me by surprise, and yes, I actually gushed just a bit. Further testing revealed that my favorite speed is actually the slower but stronger pulsation setting.
I love this vibrator. It’s phthalates-free, simple, and the vibrations are nice and strong without being numbing. I even like the packaging, for the most part, as the package is blissfully naked-girl free. My only complaint is a lack of padding or other structure to keep the vibrator from bouncing around inside. Something more than a flimsy plastic shell would be in order.
